La Burguesía del Pueblo, nestled in the heart of Bacalar, Mexico, offers a culinary experience that has garnered a dedicated following among locals and tourists alike. With its impressive rooftop setting, diners can enjoy stunning views that enhance the overall atmosphere. The menu is highlighted by the vast array of burgers, which customers rave about, particularly for their generous portions and innovative toppings. Reviewers describe the meat patties as juicy and well-seasoned, and many praise the addition of toppings like bacon-wrapped jalapeños and rich cheese sauces. The ambiance is relaxed yet elegant, making it the perfect spot to savor your meal during sunset. While there have been some mentions of slower service and drink prices reflective of the tourist location, many feel the food more than compensates for any minor hiccups. Whether you opt for classic arrachera or adventurous gringas, La Burguesía del Pueblo proves itself a worthy destination for burger enthusiasts. Julio Corcino's experience of a “nice toasted brioche bun” and Kevin Jackson’s insistence on its being the best burger place in Mexico only reinforce this gem’s reputation. For anyone in Bacalar, indulging in the culinary creations here is a must.

service was slow for a week night , but the food was ok. Fries came out a bit like warm no big deal. The drinks were pricey so I went with just a local beer la Victoria still pricey but we are in a tourist town in low season I get it. The burgers were ok nice toasted brioche bun, but could have used a bit thicker cheese sauce it was very thin and runny not like cheese back home but to be expected. Over all I would probably come back if I ordered the burger with some other kind of toppings the kitchen over all can hold their own.

This is by far the best burger place I’ve ever went to in my life in Mexico. I live about 4 hours away, and I make trips to come to have these burgers. They are so amazing everything on the menu is top tier. I recommend everything on the menu, especially all the burgers. Atmosphere, and the new patio is amazing for sunset views in the evening. Very elegant and the best place to eat at night in Centro Bacalar.

Burgers are amazing! Probably the best burger I've had in years! Nice cool top floor patio on a super hot day. The Creole burger is out of this world. Huge jalapeno wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese with bacon relish. I'd go back if I wasn't 2000 miles away!

It's the best burger. I stopped by this restaurant two days in a row. I ate the BURGUE menu, and the meat patty was juicy and chewy. There is a generous amount of cheese. Also, it holds its shape well and does not fall apart while eating. Crunchy onions add chewiness and flavor. I'm just sad that I won't be able to eat this again when I get back home...

We sat on the terrace with a nice view, my friend had a burger, and I ordered a yummy coffee and fries. We were very happy with the quality of the food and fast service!

Really good burger place! We had some totopos with guacamole, and two burgers. The food was really good and the service was excellent, very friendly! We also had a mango cocktail which was delicious! Some details for people that a weary about some restaurants in the area: - No forced tip, we gave a tip voluntarily - No commission for paying by card Highly recommend!

It's a really great place for burgers. I'm going to be real direct. I recommend this place for several reasons, but the main one is, it's a locally owned family business. The burger selection is impressive. The quality of the ingredients give the burger a flavorful taste. The owner was a very kind woman who showed me a picture of how they got started. She and her husband used to sell from a cart on the street, now their business has expanded. The place is clean, well kept, and I would recommend you dine from local owners.
